Challah Bake

Wow! What a Challah Bake! With 120 participants it was the Henry Cohen Campus’s biggest Challah Bake! Mrs Levy, our very own Challah queen lead proceeding and explained to everyone the importance of the two Challot and why we take Challah before plaiting the dough.

Participants enjoyed watching ‘Brodetsky’s Got Talent’ lead by two very talented Year 5 girls as the dough was raising. Well done to all acts, you did a fantastic job especially as you got all the crowd singing and dancing in their seats for the finale!

We would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE Thank You to all of our volunteers who came on Wednesday night to help weigh out all of the ingredients, to all those parents who helped with the set up on Thursday afternoon, to Claire Bartfield Photography (https://clairebartfieldpho.wixsite.com/cbphotography) for the amazing lasting memories we now have as pictures and lastly to all those who stayed after the event to scrape and clean the left over Challah dough from all of the bowls, tables, and floor! We come up with some crazy and fun ideas at Brodetsky but we wouldn’t be able to see them through without the help and support of our fantastic community. THANK YOU!

Dont forget that you are all invited to Kabbalat Shabbat on the Campus at 5pm on Friday 1st March and to a special youth lead Shabbat service with Children services, sweets and a ‘BIG’ Kiddush on shabbat 2nd March.
