Year 5 Art Class – Design a Logo
In art, Year 5 have been learning about Logos, their purpose and design. Their work was so fantatsic that it is being entered into a national design competition whereby the winning entry is to be transferred onto a rocket that will be going into outer space.
The children have answered some questions about their work below:
- Explain to us how you designed your logo
We examined examples of logos and discussed their purpose. We then talked about the purpose of the satellites, informed by our current Space Topic.
- Can you tell us about why rockets are being launched from the UK for the first time from 2022?
An agreement was made between the lift-off site in the UK and the company in charge of the rockets.
- Describe something you have learnt that small satellites do and explain how you have shown this in your logo.
Many students have included images of satellites orbiting the Earth and monitoring our environment and enabling us to communicate more effectively.
- Why should we pick your logo to go on the rockets?
Our children worked very hard over many lessons making their logos fit for purpose. They have combined their new knowledge about space with their fresh creativity.
