Year 1 Trip to Shul
When we arrived at the Etz Chaim we first discussed the meaning of the name ‘Tree of Life’ before heading straight into the main Shul. Once we had taken our seats we spent some time looking around the shul identifying the various aspects of it. Some of the children were chosen to try on a talis and help to take a Sefer Torah out of the ark. The children were then shown inside a Sefer Torah and even got to try reading from it! All the children made their way to the Bima where they practised singing Adon Olam ready for their ‘debut’ next week in shul! The children were al so well behaved and answered lots of questions correctly.
