We have had a busy week at school with the festivities of Tu B’Shevat. Reception children planted a willow tree for the festival which they are looking forward to using next Sukkot as part of their Lulav and Etrog.
All children in the school were encouraged to bring in 2 fruits on Tu B’Shevat. One to be eaten as part of a fruit tasting session in class and the second to be donated to Donisthorpe Hall. Children from year 5 and 6 presented the fruits to Donisthorpe Hall and spoke to the residents.
Children in Nursery 2 went into the woodland and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to the trees and took part in special tree related activities!
All the children have had lots of fun!
