Message from Mrs Bhogal

I would like to share with you a memorable moment I experienced on Simchat Torah. Our very own Mr Y had the huge honour of being called up to commence the reading of the Sefer Torah so I went along to support him during this special occasion at the Etz Chaim shul. It was so lovely to see some of our families and staff and I was made hugely welcome by all.

I enjoyed listening to the ladies’ speeches and learnt a few new things; one being that ladies should not work on Rosh Chodesh (the first of every Jewish month) – now how lovely that would be… I think I have interpreted this correctly but please let me know if I have not!
