Library Visits
At the end of each half term, a selection of year groups go on a walking visit to the local library. The children spend time looking through the endless books being inspired as to what to read, before collectively choosing a book to be read out loud. Each class brings back 5 books to the school that get returned during their next visit.
Some quotes of children who visited:
Sophia – There was such a variety of books and it was very nice to explore them all.
Eva – I liked the independence of being able to explore the library and have quiet time to look at the books and read.
Jacob – It was the first time I had been to the library and I was surprised that you could take books without having to pay for them.
David – I have never been to a library, and I really liked it.
Adam – I thought it was an exquisite trip.
Martha – Since I went to the library it has encouraged me to read more books.
Seth – I though it was very organised and very easy to find the books I wanted.
