Jewish Heritage Centre for Children

As part of the Year 3 topic of Jewish People then and now, Year 3 pupils went on an exciting trip to the Leeds Jewish Heritage Centre for Children. The children’s classroom learning was brought to life through hands on fun and interactive activities. The children enjoyed walking through a recreated 19th century Eastern European rural village and a modern “play” kosher supermarket and kids’ kosher kitchen.

The exhibition and activities showed the children how Jewish traditions and culture have survived through the ages into the modern day and how learning about the past can help to build the future.
