We are sure you have heard in the news over the last few days about a dreadful challenge that is trending on social media called the “Momo Challenge”.
This has been found on You Tube ( including You Tube Kids), Tick Tock, Facebook and Whats App.
You may innocently let your children watch Peppa Pig on “You Tube Kids” on their Kindle Fire tablets/ i pads and these images can flash up so please be aware.
Children are receiving messages from an unknown number which then proceeds to send graphic images and instructions to harm themselves and others or “curse” them.
The picture in itself is enough to frighten the children.
It is recommended that you speak to your children about this and what they are watching online and the dangers of viral trends like this.
It is very important that you monitor the things your children can access on the internet, this includes activating parental controls and checking search history.
Knowing the signs of distress in your children is also a huge indicator that something could be going on behind closed doors.
