Hebrew Theatre Festival
On Thursday 8th February, we had the visit of the Israeli ‘Hour Theatre’ who braved the snow over the Pennines and came to present us with two amazing shows, at the very end of their UK tour for the 6th Festival of Spoken Ivrit. Reception to Y4 saw ‘Mamushi, the Rabbit’, a show based on a classical Israeli book. The story, involving many cute and witty animals, focused on friendships and the value of a good friend. Y5 and Y6 watched the ‘Uzu uMuzu’ show, another Israeli classic by the renown Efraim Sidon, which deals with the issues of spreading rumours, the development on conflicts and their resolution.
The talented actors of both shows kept the children on their toes, interested, amused, intrigued and delighted.
