Glastonbury Banner

Brodetsky are one of only twenty five schools (Primary and secondary) across the UK that was lucky enough to take part in a huge art project. Working with Oxfam and Glastonbury Festival of Arts to create a banner highlighting the need for Climate Justice. The artwork, created by the Eco Council with the support of Mr Milner has been sent to the festival to be displayed for the 190,000 festival goers and might even been on the side of the Park Stage (Look out on TV).

The design is about how we need to share the world, and all take responsibility for our impacts on the planet. The design shows two rich people stealing the earth and having no regard for their actions. Climate justice aims to promote equity, assure access to basic resources, and ensure that young people can live, learn, play and work in healthy and clean environments.

The slogan was written by Eva in year six. The group were challenged to come up with the ideas after meetings to discuss the issue of climate justice. Oxfam provided some great resources for the children to work with.
