Enrichment Assembly

This week was the last of this round of enrichment sessions. The children went off to their enrichment sessions whereby they discussed what they had learnt throughout the sessions before displaying to the whole school a presentation on their sessions.

The cooking club baked 40 carrot muffins to give out as prizes to the best behaved children.

The Magic club wowed the audience with a trio of magic trick they have been practising during their time. (See film club post for the videos)

The film club showed their amazing films to the school (although 1 film is still yet to be edited).

The ukelele club played ‘mercy’.

The chess club described the various pieces of the game and what they could do.

The knitting club read a fantastic poem all about their experiences of knitting a bracelet each!

The beading club showed us pictures of the geckos, bracelets, necklaces and earrings they had made.

The circuit training club demonstrated the techniques they had learnt and then got the whole school up for a work out.

The forest School club told everyone of their adventures building dens, using saws and the importance of having a first aid kit.

Trampolining club were awarded their certificates. Some members reached level 2 and others were skilled enough to reach level 7!

Origami club showed the school all the various pieces they had made over their time and then one of the members showed that he was able to make a dragon out of a post-it-note in under 1 minute. They even made presents to give to reception children!

Both Ball skill clubs showed off their skills and knowledge of the rules for particular ball games.

Mindfulness club shared with the children the different breathing exercises they had learnt.

The drama club put on a short play followed by a rendition of Lion King’s ‘Oh I just can’t wait to be king’.

The children have learnt so much through this round of enrichment sessions and are already looking forward to the start of the new sessions next week!
