Nursery
Brodetsky Primary School and Nursery is an Orthodox Jewish faith school where the success of every child is achieved through creativity, independence and resilience. Our high expectations ensure that our children reach their potential whilst feeling confident to talk about their own beliefs and experiences in a happy and nurturing environment.
Early learning is often considered the most important part of education. Research has shown that children learn more between the ages of zero and six than at any other point of their lives. It is for this reason that we ensure our full offering is at the highest standard possible.
Our extensive knowledge and experience of Early Years care and education, enables us to ensure that your child reaches their potential through an environment that is well planned and richly resourced, where children can be excited about the different adventures they will find each day.
Underpinning our approach to early learning is placing your child at the heart of every decision made as well as working closely and forming strong connections with families at home.
We nurture creativity, independence and resilience by allowing our children to be explorers and creators, resulting in life-long learners.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child into our wonderful nursery.

The Brodetsky Early Years Curriculum
The three prime areas of learning are:
· Communication and language
· Physical development
· Personal, social and emotional development
These are the main focus and the foundation for building and igniting a child’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, forming relationships and thriving.
Brodetsky Nursery staff provide a language-rich environment where communication and interactions form the foundations for language and cognitive development. Coupled with a large engaging indoor and outdoor areas with opportunities for physical development and for social interaction we offer the perfect nursery environment.
These prime areas are strengthened and applied through five specific areas:
· Literacy
· Mathematics
· Understanding of the world
· Expressive arts and design
· Limmudei Kodesh (LK) and Ivrit
Just like other areas of the curriculum, Limmudei Kodesh (Jewish Studies) is integrated into all areas of the provision in nursery. A daily LK lesson is taught by the Limmudei Kodesh teacher who ensures to bring to life all of the joys of Jewish Mitzvot (laws) and Minhagim (customs). On a Monday children enjoy taking part in the Havdallah ceremony whilst on a Friday the Kabbalat Shabbat experience is the centre piece of the day with lively singing, dancing and special Shabbat treats.
