Chanukah Celebration in School
Message from Mrs Bhogal – Memorable Moments this Week:
We hope you’ve enjoyed our Chanukah festivities in school this week.
The choir did us proud at the candle lighting at the Town Hall on Monday evening. Thank you to all who attended.
We have really enjoyed the latke and donut making workshops throughout the week; there is a lovely aroma of oil around the school!
Thank you to our catering manager Charles for our delicious Chanukah lunch where we enjoyed more donuts and latkes.
We enjoyed our daily candle lighting at the end of each afternoon and the rain did not put a dampener on the family candle lighting on Wednesday. Thank you to those of you who joined us inside the Brodetsky hall. The children were really well behaved considering the amount of people in there.
The children enjoyed the sporting activities with the Maccabi Scouts from Israel as well as Year 5 making and selling dreidels.
It was fabulous to see so many families joining us for our fun mornings in the nurseries and finally a huge well done to our Reception children for a fantastic Chanukah production today. It was enjoyed by the whole school and then by their families.
To round it off, we ended the week with more delicious donuts kindly donated by Councillor Dan Cohen, chair of LK Governors. We would like to say a huge thank you to him on behalf of all the children and staff.
Enjoy the rest of the Chanukah weekend and Shabbat Shalom.
