Armistice Day
Another memorable moment at Brodetsky this morning.
It was a very proud moment seeing the whole school come out to the memorial area to commemorate Armistice Day. It was heartwarming to see our youngest Nursery children right up to our grown-up Year 6’s all gathering together in their poppies to pay our respects. The children were impeccably behaved with not a sound during the 2 minute silence and whilst listening to our wonderful Rabbi Kleinman during the service. We thought about all of the soldiers and their families during World War 1 and World War 2 and we thought about people who have been affected by unkind things in the world. We wished for peace for the future. We also learnt that coincidentally today is also the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht ( the night of the broken glass) to commemorate all of the victims.
Please give your children a big well done for their impeccable behaviour and thank you to the small number of parents who were able to join us.
