Hemed teachers visit Brodetsky
Through Brodetsky’s partnership with UJIA’s programme ‘Schools to Schools’ many years ago, Brodetsky was partnered up with an Israeli Primary School called Hemed. Brodetsky and Hemed have done many activities together over the course of the year including art projects, sending letters to eachother and holiding Skype calls class to class. However the main part of the programme which brings the two schools closer is when teachers from either school go to visit the other. This year Inbal and Haviva, teachers from Hemed, came to visit Brodetsky to learn more about out school and share ideas about how we can strengthen the partnership further to ensure maximum outcome for our children on both sides.
As part of their visit, Inbal and Haviva had a tour of the campus, observed a lesson, taugh a lesson, watched an assembly, made a presentation to the whole school and to an individual class, shared a song which their School recorded for us and listened to our song ‘This Is Us’ which we performed for them. During their stay in Leeds we also took them to see sites in Leeds and the most important attraction on their list (outside of Brodetsky) Primark!
We have had an incredible few days with them and with the continued support of UJIA, we look forward to our partnership strengthening further.
