Ella & Amit Talk About their Volunteering Trip to Uganda
Two pupils from our school campus spent their Winter holidays in Uganda volunteering their time along with their family in order to help improve the standards for 3 family projects. Before setting off, the sisters asked for donations of different items that would be useful to those who they would be visiting. They helped to build a rabbit hutch, raised beds and carried out arts and crafts sessions in the local schools. They also took part in assemblies and taught the children some dance routines. Mrs Bhogal pointed out that anybody who complains about the state of our school and toilets should look at the conditions of the facilities that some of the children in Uganda have to use! We are very lucky here in the UK.
