Leeds Mini Tennis Final
Rafi, Dexter, Sarah and Orla took part in the Leeds Mini Tennis Final at John Charles Centre for Sport on Wednesday 20th June. This was a huge achievement in itself and Brodetsky were one of ten schools to get to the Leeds finals. The ten schools were split into two groups and we played matches against Raynville, East Garforth, Adel and St Matthew’s.
The pupils made an amazing start and were winning the majority of their games. There were the most skillful and well fought rallies played and some of the games played were extremely tense. Our resilience and team spirit shone through and we were the eventual winners in our group which meant we would play in the final against the runners up in the other group.
During the final most of the matches played were either won or lost by one or two points! We didn’t win the final but the school is really proud to have the year 4 team tennis team as runners up in Leeds and they will now go on to represent the county of West Yorkshire on the 2nd July.
Well done!
