PE and Sports
PE is led throughout the whole school by Mrs Moore and Mrs Benton. During the school year there are a number of competitions and events.
We aim to maintain a high profile of PE throughout the school and have joined the Active Schools initiative. As part of our PE curriculum, PE Partners Coaching (PEP) take each class for 1 lesson per week. The coaches offer a wide range of games and athletics opportunities for each year group. We feel lucky to have this expertise brought into school and the children especially look forward to these weekly sessions. Year 4 pupils also have their weekly swimming lessons at Holt Park. As well as this, the class teachers also deliver a weekly dance or gymnastic lesson to the pupils as part of the National Curriculum requirement.
We continue to strive to give the children as much experience and variety in PE as possible.

NETBALL
Brodetsky Primary School : Netball Match Report from Year 6 Girls Amy F, Rachel F & Lucy S
On Wednesday 26th of April, eight Year 6 girls went to compete in the Leeds North East School Sport Partnership High Five netball competition. The representatives for Brodetsky played against six different school teams including Harehills 1, Harehills 2, Alwoodley, St Augustine’s, Shadwell 1 and Shadwell 2, all from the pink group.
The team’s first match was against Harehills 1 and although we played fantastically, we sadly lost 3-0. The second game was against Shadwell 2 and ended with the score of 0-0. Next it was Brodetsky against Harehills 2, who both played outstandingly well, but, thanks to Ruby S who scored us our two points, the match ended 2-1 to Brodetsky! Hooray!!! Unfortunately the next two games were lost but then luck found us again and we drew 1-1 with Shadwell 1.
Overall, the team thoroughly enjoyed the competition and went home with a positive attitude, hoping to compete in another tournament soon.
